Let's paint a picture of the internship:
AkzoNobel is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our technical team. This internship is ideal for students currently pursuing studies in chemistry, chemical process engineering, coatings technology, or related fields.
Responsibilities:
As part of our laboratory team, you will:
- Maintain and promote a safe and clean working environment, both in the lab and in the field, in compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Follow safe work practices with a goal of zero safety incidents
- Work according to quality standards set by Lab Management (e.g., AS9100)
- Set up, execute, analyze, and report experiments independently within your unit
- Take ownership of assigned topics and tasks
- Document laboratory results accurately using lab notebooks, reports, meeting minutes, and monthly summaries
- Keep laboratory methods up to date and retain knowledge through regular documentation and research reports
- Help protect AkzoNobel's technologies through adherence to IP laws and participation in patent application processes
What do you need to have to be successful in this internship?
- Currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Process Engineering, Coatings Engineering, or a related technical field
- Proficient in using computers and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
- Hands on mentality and a high level of curosity
- Being a Team Player
- Good knowledge of the English language
