Our diverse team of over 60 supply chain enthusiasts from 20+ countries develops a global supply chain network that serves millions of customers. As a supply planner, you will work with stakeholders to set a plan for global sites that satisfies demand while considering complex constraints. Join us in Sassenheim and be a crucial part of Akzo Nobel's young and significant pillar that runs most of its supply chain activities.
As a student, you can learn about supply planning for a paints/coatings production site. This involves developing efficient plans to meet customer demand and managing resources. You will also need to ensure the availability of raw materials and packaging, manage relationships with suppliers, and plan for the distribution of products. We are a department that has a diverse team of 60+ supply chain enthusiasts from around the world who share a collaborative mindset.
What can you expect from us?
As a student, you can expect the department to be deeply invested in your personal and professional growth, with the goal of developing you into a future leader or expert in the field. Through this internship, you will be able to develop your skillset about managing operations, using tools effectively (SAP, Excel), and understanding accountability. Frequent coaching and feedback sessions to help you improve and develop your skills, the opportunities to participate in (cross-functional) projects and continuously improve your skills and experience for a full 6 month internship period.
What do you need to have to be successful in this internship?
Educational requirements:
- Bachelor’s / Masters in business administration or Engineering with specialization in Supply chain management
- Must be enrolled as a student for the full duration of the internship
- Internship lasting 6 months
- Fluent in English is a must, master of another European language is considered a plus
