About the role
At AkzoNobel, Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is at the core of how we run our business. As IBP Manager for Deco EMEA, you will play a pivotal role in driving alignment across regions and functions, ensuring we operate with one integrated, forward-looking plan.
You will own and continuously enhance the end-to-end IBP process across Deco EMEA, acting as a key business facilitator who connects commercial, supply chain, and finance teams. By enabling fact-based decision-making and cross-functional alignment, you will directly contribute to improved business performance and strategic execution.
Key Responsibilities
IBP Process Leadership & Governance
• Own and drive the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process across Deco EMEA
• Define and manage the IBP cycle, ensuring all milestones are delivered on time and in full
• Facilitate key IBP forums including Supply Management Review (SMR), Integrated Reconciliation (IR), and Management Business Review (MBR)
• Ensure strong governance across all IBP steps (DMR, PMR, SMR, IR, MBR) in close collaboration with central and regional stakeholders
Cross-functional Alignment & Decision Support
• Lead the reconciliation of key business topics, ensuring alignment across demand, supply, and financial plans
• Prepare high-quality, decision-ready materials to support senior leadership in MBR meetings
• Coordinate financial projections in partnership with Business Unit Finance
Performance Management & Strategic Integration
• Define and monitor cross-functional KPIs to track IBP effectiveness and business performance
• Ensure full integration of IBP with financial outlook, P&L, and working capital
• Bridge IBP with strategic planning by identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities on a monthly basis
• Drive scenario planning and ensure financial alignment across all IBP stages
Continuous Improvement & Capability Building
• Translate global IBP frameworks into actionable regional processes and improvements
• Lead IBP process enhancements, including tools, systems, and ways of working
• Conduct regular assessments and audits across IBP cycles to drive continuous improvement
• Deliver training and capability-building initiatives for IBP stakeholders across Deco EMEA
Stakeholder Management
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, building strong relationships across diverse stakeholders
• Collaborate with central IBP teams to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide planning cycles
• Influence and challenge stakeholders constructively to drive better outcomes
Key Outcomes
• Consistent, high-quality IBP execution with clear decision-making frameworks
• Improved leadership decisions through integrated, data-driven insights
• Strong cross-functional alignment across regions and disciplines
• Tangible improvements in service levels, inventory management, and cost efficiency
• Seamless integration between regional plans and central IBP processes
Your Profile
• Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a technical discipline (MBA preferred)
• 10+ years of broad business experience, ideally across commercial, supply chain, and/or finance roles
• Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of how organizations operate end-to-end
• Proven experience working in complex, cross-functional environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organizational levels
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
• Experience in change management and driving transformation initiatives
• Ability to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement
