A Master Data Management (MDM) CoE has been set up and requires an experienced Data Architect to support Master Data improvement for our Innovate, Plan, Make and Deliver E2E Process Towers.

Direct report of the MDM process owner, here are examples of what you will encounter as the Global Data Architect Manufacturing & Supply Chain:
Exposure to senior management, up to C-level, in setting up and agreeing their one-year MDM roadmap, as well as their multi-year data strategy
Drive the delivery of the above roadmap and strategy through the preparation and steering of several projects, in collaboration with counterparts in IT, Functions and Business Units
Manage and coach resources (internal and external) on several, sometime conflicting, high priority activities (projects and changes)
Analyze data and processes to identify area where data standardization and harmonization of its maintenance processes could deliver further benefits to the company, and quantify these in order to build comprehensive business cases.

Key responsibilities

As the Global Data Architect Manufacturing & Supply Chain you are responsible for, or support the activities done by the MDM CoE for the R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Master Data domains within all capabilities provided by the CoE (i.e. data standardization, its maintenance processes harmonization and optimization, data reporting/analytics & its curation)
You will be driving MDM initiatives to improve quality of delivery, optimize cost to serve, control & compliance, whilst enhancing customer experience for the R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain data domains.
You will set and deliver the one-year MDM roadmap, as well as their multi-year data strategy for our R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain GPOs.

Other key responsibilities are:
• Responsible for or support implementing controlled and governed data maintenance processes for the R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain data domains, including the impact of these changes to their supporting systems/applications
• Development and maintenance of a Data Dictionary/Glossary for the R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain data domains
• Drive the data quality improvements. This includes definition of data standards, cleansing (Get Clean) and monitoring (Dashboard/KPIs) of the data, plus implementing a “Stay Clean” maintenance process
• IM/IT touchpoint, for master data matter including setting up the MDM landscape strategy and driving the demand pipeline for changes and projects support
• Act as a change agent and business partner to our R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain functions enabling continuous commitment for and awareness for MDM
• Ability to analyze, design and implement the need for MDM in high complexity landscapes, both from system perspective as organizational perspective for the relevant data domain
• Ability to utilize metrics to identify opportunities for service improvement
• Capable of managing multiple complex assignments including the ability to plan, assign and direct work
• Ability to understand change management and drive to resolution (change management experience in large company in a complex and international environment)

Other requirements:
• Post-Graduation in Business Administration, Integrated Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, IT or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 10 years’ overall experience with 7-8 years’ experience in R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain related functions, with MDM and/or IT exposure preferred
• Experience in Project Management, with supporting certification preferred
• Experience in implementation R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain and MDM process improvements
• Experience in R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and/or MDM systems development and implementation
• Experience in interfacing with stakeholders at all levels in multinational corporations, including at C-level
• Understanding of external factors influencing R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and MDM such as regulatory requirements, best in class practices, etc
