Purpose of the job

Within the PDC Trim Paints E&A in Sassenheim (NL) – the Product Development Centre responsible for the development and the support of all decorative trim paints in Europe and Africa 

  • You will work in an international R&D team, reporting to a PDC team leader
  • You will conduct formulation or technical work (in the lab) as defined in the departmental plan
  • You will be Documenting results through appropriate reporting systems, reporting to the team leader.
  • Conducting experimental work in a laboratory environment focused on the development of new, innovative products and the improvement of existing products
  • Your main job is basic paint preparation and evaluation of new and current raw materials, including cost/performance assessment of alternatively sourced raw materials.
  • Accurate documentation of results in the LabNotes reporting system.

What do you bring?

  • BSc in Sciences/ HBO or MBO-4 level
  • Preferably with 1 - 3 years laboratory experience in an industrial environment.
  • Experience in the field of decorative coatings would be advantage.
  • Good understanding of English (and preferably Dutch) and the affinity to quickly learn and master internally used software packages
  • Enthusiastic, responsible and motivated team player
