Job Purpose
The Quality Assurance Manager manages the activities associated with the development and continuous improvement of the site quality management system. To meet this objective the incumbent ensures top management and the rest of the organization, understand what is required of applicable management system standards, such as ISO9000; that personnel are implementing and following business processes that are compliant to these standards, and that those resources I his/her charge are effectively deployed to support these management system’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Must follow all established safety rules and procedures
• Must demonstrate integrity while performing duties as per company’s Code of Conduct
• Identifies deficiencies in business processes; prioritize the work load, and leads cross-functional teams of associates to effectively implement preventative and corrective action
• Ensures those standard requirements specific to the quality systems management team, such as document control, customer complaint handling, and the like are met, and hat the business processes that support these requirements are effective
• Promotes quality systems awareness through regular communication with all associates; ensures the entire staff understands what is required for the effective implementation of a quality system
• Prepares reports and regularly presents to management with feedback on the condition of the management system; ensures management understands what must be done to correct non-conformities
• Develops specific training programs, and the like; encourages each associate to adopt an objective facts based- approach to business process improvement
• Manages internal and external management systems audit processes so that line management is aware and prepared for these activities. Ensures the audit process is effective, and that corrective or preventative actions necessitated as a result of the process are effectively implemented
• Leads and ensures all activity associated with achieving third party certification is effective and that communication with, and management of, the register is effective; this includes the registrar selection process
• Stays abreast of changes to management systems standards, and ensures these changes are reflected in the sites business process
• Maintains contact with external professional quality organizations and consultants; stays abreast of changes in quality management concepts and ideas
• Supports the development of external suppliers by working with purchasing, and other functional areas, to ensure supplier requirements are known and met
• Works with sales and marketing to ensure significant customer problems are effectively managed and solved
• Supports activities associated with the global operations team
• Leads and directs the work of others
Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, engineering, or an alternate field of specialization will be considered depending on the nature of the degree, work experience, other training or combination thereof
• Minimum of 7 years of quality systems experience/education
• Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Viseo) is a must
• Team oriented problem solving skills and small team leadership experience required
• Must understand the fundamentals of business management systems, and the standards that govern them ( e.g., ISO9000; TS16949, etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are a requirement, especially as this relates to the writing work instructions, or producing PowerPoint presentations for training, etc.
• Manufacturing experience, especially in a quality role with quality systmes implementation experience
• Process mapping and development; SPC charting, and other statistical tools experience a plus

Benefits/Rewards
The salary range for these skills is: $102,000 to $124,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
