Team Lead Make

Purpose of the job

IT Delivery is accountable for the successful delivery of projects. Own, lead and grow the IT manufacturing domain in IT Delivery.

The IT Delivery Team Lead Make is accountable to drive the IT Delivery within its domain to enhance business value and improve project delivery performance and end user satisfaction.

Next to being the expert in his/her functional area, the Team Lead has as people manager responsibility for a team of IT Functional Engineers and Project Managers. He/she is responsible for personal development of its IT employees. Selects the right candidates for the job, manages the workload of the team and ensures the right skills are embedded in the teams.

The Team Lead is responsible for managing the financials of his area of responsibility. The Team Lead will execute and ensure that projects are managed according to financial requirements.

The IT Delivery function is expected to grow in scope. Scope will increase to include the management and delivery of change request, and in a later stage also operational support, transforming into DevOps teams.

Key responsibilities

People management.

• People management of functional engineers and project managers in the Make team
• Grow the team: Hire, lead, coach team members in grow locations (india, brasil). (3 vacancies to be filled currently)
• Maintain a high performing and motivated team with the right knowledge and skillset.
• Ensure proper communication and collaboration with other domains such as IBP and Logistics.
• Ensure the team follows the Architectural and Security policies and guidelines.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the IT and business organizations.
• Ensure that projects are properly staffed both with IT internal/external and business resources. Resource commitment needs to be in place prior to the project start.
• Hire, lead, coach and appraise employees, and develop (the cooperation between) employees, ensure the right mindset and focus on continuous improvement.
• Drive process improvements within the domain, enabling end to end process optimization.
• Support, contribute and engage in the transition to the agile DevOps WoW.
• Match resource demand with supply, to ensure delivery of required resources and that this is done through the right inhouse/outsourced and the right onshore and offshore set up. Service and vendor performance management
• Ensure all activities and services comply to the security rules and policies.

Project delivery

• Accountable for project control for Deliver projects (in scope, in budget, in time, sufficient quality)
• Ensure that projects are staffed with the right resources timely, trading off cost and efficiency, match supply and demand.
• Align with business partner on future projects portfolio to match supply and demand
• Delivery according architectural, security and compliance guidelines
• Manage and consolidate Financial overview, including budget, forecast, accrual, POs etc..
• Manage the escalations, and being part of IT internal steerco to steer the relevant projects;
• Manage projects yourself where applicable
• The scope and responsibilities may change with the move to devops where IT operations will merge into IT delivery.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and risks, track expenses, and ensure projects remain within budget.
• Ensures through project managers in the team for completing the required progress templates and the monthly financial tracker.
• For contractors, contracts need to be in place and approved plus the POs created before the work starts.
• Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders in business.
• Work with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful handover and support post go live.
• Ensure projects deliver users that are both trained in how to use tools and related business processes.
• Ensure the relevant hyper care enables the users to fully embrace and properly use the new tools and processes.
• Ensure proper contract and supplier management.
• Ensure projects are executed in accordance with the security and compliance requirements as set by the Security team; the architecture guidelines as set by the Architecture team and; the business and functions plans as defined by the IT Business Partners together with their various stakeholders.

Job Requirements

• >5 years of proven track record of successful IT project delivery in a manufacturing environment
• >2 years Experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experienced in guiding and steering other project managers.
• Experience in managing a team of IT professionals.
• Experienced in project managing integration projects
• Experienced in managing the IT impact of the creation of new manufacturing sites is a plus
• Project Management certification is a plus
• Agile experience in a role as product owner, scrum master or RTE is a plus.
• >3 years of experience in SAP modules PP / QM / MM as SAP consultant or SAP project manager is a plus
• >3 years of experience with integration platforms as engineer or project manager
• Batchelor or Master degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering or related field study
