Job Purpose

To support the NPR Directors and Category Managers (Global + Regional) in driving category strategies, performing data analytics, process compliance and supporting user(s) with the Sourcing and Procurement activities for the NPR (Non-Product Related - Indirect Materials) organization.

To collaborate with the global & regional leads across the different spend categories & local procurement teams, to align cross-functional objectives in order to realize cost savings across the company and sharing best practices across spend categories and regions. To liaise across other functional teams such as IM, Master Data, Business Analytics to deliver improvements across the various processes

To build and support the digital transformation journey across the sourcing and procurement function.

This position requires an individual with a strong background & understanding of the procurement and sourcing processes, data analytics, sourcing & procurement tools & technology, project management and the ability to independently drive & deliver sustainable business programs.

The role will be based out of the Akzonobel, GBS - Pune Location.

Key Accountabilities

System

  • Understand the Procurement systems (SAP, COUPA, Icertis); the Analytics & Reporting tools (SAP BI, Celonis, Power Bi) to support the stakeholders and improve user experience
  • Proficient in performing data analysis across the sourcing and procurement processes to enable the category manager with data across multiple dimensions

Process

  • Act as an SME to provide guidance and support to users across the Sourcing and Procurement processes
  • Manage the collection of user requirements in driving projects and company initiatives
  • Use market knowledge and data analysis to identify saving opportunities and contribute to a future pipeline of opportunities that meet category specific targets
  • Ensure compliance with sourcing policies and procedures
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process & system improvements
  • Participate in professional development activities to keep abreast of current industry best practices and continuously improve professional skills and technical expertise
  • Provide tendering support to category managers (RFQ templates and release, quote receipts and comparison)

Experience

  • Degree in IT, Finance, Economics, SCM And/Or equivalent (Msc/Mba preferred)
  • Min 4 years of Experience in the Sourcing & Procurement function, knowledge of industry best practices and compliance requirements
  • Strong knowledge of procurement practices and sourcing/supply chain trends and dynamics
  • Experienced in using & supporting Sourcing & Procurement tools & products (Coupa, iCertis (preferred))
  • Highly experienced in data analytics and analysis of complex processes in the Sourcing and Procurement functions
  • Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
  • CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager)/APICS (Association for Production and Inventory Control) (an added plus)
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Six Sigma (is a plus)
  • Excellent communicator with experience in engaging with different management levels across different functions (Finance, Procurement, IM)
