Responsibilities

  • Assist the Resource and PMO Manager in ensuring the right resources are available for project managers, contributing to the on-time, in full, and within budget delivery of projects and programs.
  • Collaborate with Domain Managers to help coordinate resources in their domains (both technical and functional engineers) and from externally sourced capacity for effective project delivery.
  • Support the establishment of the necessary capabilities to deliver, govern, manage, and execute projects and services for the business.
  • Help coordinate the availability of required human resources (both externally and internally) for the IT Department.
  • Assist in ensuring that project staff capacity requests are submitted in accordance with AkzoNobel internal process guidelines.
  • Help allocate resource capacity to appropriate activities and plan for additional resources required to meet the demand.
  • Contribute to meeting measured and agreed service levels to identify, possibly onboard, and allocate resources to projects.
  • Support the identification and management of the overall AN IT project workload using PPM.
  • Aid in the feasibility assessment to evaluate the staffing plan (internal and external).
  • Assist in establishing a central repository on capabilities and map to resources desired in PPM.
  • Support the maintenance of delivery capability by managing the expected increase in attrition and complexity that comes with the offshoring of resources.
  • Contribute to the process of building the Captive centers in India (Pune) and South America (Sao Paulo).
  • Assist with the on- and offboarding of new resources, maintain resource information, and report on the required resources active in the IT department.

Short Description

Experience / Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resource management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IM project-related functions, with a focus on resource and capability planning.
  • Familiarity with project management, planning, realization, and reporting.
  • Understanding of required capabilities in IT projects and services and the ability to map these in a capability matrix.
  • Knowledge of the IT project lifecycle and its implications for staff planning.
  • Experience working in a dynamic international organization.
  • Comfortable working within a global and multi-cultural team.
  • Experience in developing and managing an IM/IT-specific capability matrix.
  • Competent in identifying suitable capabilities and matching resources to project demands.
