Job Purpose
- Spearheads process optimization and drive improvements in financial reporting accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency through cross-functional collaboration and implementation of best practices.
- Manages balance sheet master data, oversees monthly task lists and performance reporting, and ensures strict adherence to organizational policies and compliance standards.
- Serves as key user for master data governance, defining reporting requirements and coordinating database maintenance to support accurate financial outputs.
- Maintains robust internal controls, develops and updates Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and acts as the primary point of contact for query resolution and stakeholder support
Key Accountabilities
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Collaborate and deliver on key ‘Finance Process Improvement Projects’ driven with the organization, per project timelines
- Act as a key user to prepare and maintain End-to-End Balance Sheet Master data for Legal Entities within the region.
- Review and maintenance of Monthly task list across entities and reporting performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies by updating and reviewing BSAR Master data.
- Update the changes requested by Users as per the agreed mapping.
- Establish preconditions within Master data for accurate BSAR generation.
- Maintain and share BSAR reporting setups and general ledger structures.
- Collaborate with Regional Center analysts, BU Accounting Managers, and Shared Services for relevant BSAR database maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain SOPs related to process and act as a point of contact to resolve queries from all regions.
- Perform and review rock controls related to the process and ensure effectiveness in the control
Education
- Accounting professional with 8 plus years of experience in financial data management and reporting using latest tools.
- Minimum 1-2 project implementation experience in Master data management.
- Proficient in Reconciliation tools, MS Excel with advanced skills.
- Familiarity with automation techniques like Power BI, Excel Macro etc.
- Knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliations processes.
- Self-Managed – should drive change on their own with minimal direction needed.
Education
Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance and Accounting related field.
