Job Description

 

Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job:

AkzoNobel has started its journey to mature its Master Data Management (MDM) Services, and for this, setting up Global MDM capabilities is essential. The MDM Operations Steward/Analyst will execute master data maintenance processes within SLAs, including its controls and monitor master data quality definitions and rules.

 

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for executing activities done by the MDM Operations team within all capabilities provided, i.e. Master Data maintenance processes, controls, SLAs, point of contact for MDM CoE and business, issue solving (root cause analysis), Master Data Quality monitoring

· Adhere to SLAs and report/escalate to Operations Manager and Service Delivery Manager in case of exceptions

· Support implementation and monitoring of master data quality rules and master data definitions

· Conduct issue root cause analyses and IM touch-point for system issues fixes

· Monitoring of (master) data quality

· Collaborate with Data Domain Experts from GBS MDM CoE periodically to collect, collate and analyse data for DQ metrics

· Support implementing and monitoring of master data quality rules and master data definitions

· Validation of the change request against master data rules (impact assessment) and determines whether the data record already exists

· When archiving or marking-for-deletion, the Data Steward checks for open transactions and/or use in other systems

· Closing and filing change requests for master data

· Notifying the Data User on the status of requests (e.g. rejected requests and reason)

· Responsible for data entry into information systems

· Responsible to respond to business for additional information on completeness of master data requests

· Respond to business with regular updates on master data mass uploads and large master data requests

· Good communication and teamwork within and across organizational boundaries

· Support MDM Operations Manager on process standardization and optimisation to drive down total cost to serve and enhance customer satisfaction through improved quality of processes

· Supports the implementation of the agreed MDM2.0 project’s next steps

· Customer service mind-set with excellent customer service skills

· Ability to build working relationships and foster communication with internal customers within and across organizational and geographic boundaries

· International mind-set – sensible for cultural differences

 

Job Requirements: Essential educational qualifications, relevant experience and requested skills.

· Bachelor level

· Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a shared service centre with experience in MDM related functions

· Working experience supporting MDM operational processes

· Experience in implementation of MDM in a Shared Services environment preferred

· Experience in interfacing with business operational customers and Information Management

· Experience in root cause analysis

· Experience in MDM application systems as key user (preferably SAP and SAP MDG)

· Experience in complex IT system environments as user

· Experience in complex business environments with multiple stakeholders, including service providers for both IT as organizational/process capabilities

· Keeps deadlines and produces high quality output

· manage dialogue with support functions and key stakeholders

· Good communicator

· Partner for issue management/escalation
