Job Purpose

  • This is a generalist Procurement role covering all category areas of Indirect Procurement
  • The Indirect Sourcing Specialist collaborates with both Global and Regional Indirect Category Managers, business stakeholders and P2I teams to initially deliver the 15% ROS objective by 2020, along with longer term commercial benefits within their geographic responsibility. They do so by achieving significant cost reductions whilst maintaining or improving product and/or service quality levels. 
  • The Indirect Sourcing Specialist is responsible for executing global and regional category strategies in their geographic responsibility under the stewardship of the relevant Global or Regional Category Manager
  • The position is responsible for the delivery of Commercial Procurement support for Statement of Work (SoW) requirements between €15 - €50k their geographical responsibility and Procurement activities requiring specific local intervention for general requests and Capex requests up to € 250k
  • The role is required to ‘prevent spend leakage’ by reducing supplier base complexity and finalizing agreements/contracts to reduce spot buying and increase use of preferred suppliers.

In addition, the role is expected to bring knowledge in Category driven improvement projects such as complex tenders, contract support, and other special assignments

Key Accountabilities

 

  1. Be able to do spend analysis and suggest projects to consolidate suppliers
  2. Execute medium-value (€15-€50k) sourcing projects
  3. Execute some high value and high complexity (>€50k) sourcing projects with Category Manager stewardship e.g. Capex requests
  4. Prepare business cases supporting sourcing recommendations including competitive bidding, negotiating, analyzing data and market trends
  5. Provide contract management and interface with Legal department
  6. Able to interact with multiple stakeholders in local country or cluster of countries on development of procurement business cases as well as policy development and conformance
  7. Acting as the sourcing interface between P2I and NPR Procurement organization for escalation issues

Experience

Qualifications/ Education:

  • BSc or equivalent work experience
  • Procurement accreditation will be an asset
  • Excellent communication skills are a must
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a national purchasing role with an international understanding
  • Fluent in English and local country language is mandatory, both written and spoken
