Job Purpose

  • Provide consistent and insightful management information (both forward looking and retrospective) to the members of the finance leadership team, Functional Leaders & Controllers and the BU Management Teams on the Cost of Organization and relevant Balance sheet items.
  • Fulfil global requirements around management reporting, forecasting and budgeting. Drive continuous improvement. 
  • Deal with ad hoc questions and analysis, therefore, require a high degree of Commercial and ISC knowledge to build strong relationships with the Functional and Business Navigators.
  • Supply analytical and predictive insights and develop new capabilities. Therefore, has expert analytical understanding of data, statistics, quantitative analytics and visualization.
  • Provide leadership and people management to a team of FP&A analysts

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the FP&A Cost of Organization team:
    • Motivate team to be a high performing team;
    • Ensure clear roles, responsibilities and development plans are in place;
    • Drive engagement and viewpoint action planning.
  • Drive all Continuous Improvement initiatives. 
  • Support all Group Initiatives and represent FP&A Cost of Organization towards them
  • Support Finance leadership team and BU Navigators to plan and steer business results for cost of organization
  • Support planning process for relevant cost of organization ensuring consistent information is presented and processes are optimized;
  • Finance lead and drive the cost of organization budget and planning cycles:
    • Engage BU finance leads and teams in overall planning / budget process, manage timelines and allocate responsibility;
    • Ensure appropriate checks and data validation is in place;
    • Consolidate data and ensure submitted into corporate systems;
  • Ensure that management reporting is transparent and optimized across all units;
  • Coordinate Group FP&A corporate processes like budgeting and forecasting. Actively participate in cross (BU) FP&A teams to drive cross learning and engagement

Experience

Experience & Educational Requirements:

 

  • Experience of FP&A or controlling roles in cost of organization across Functional, Commercial and ISC environments
  • Good understanding of the drivers of the business both Commercial and ISC
  • Experience dealing with corporate requests and requirements.
  • Strong grasp of key finance processes.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing teams

  • Can present financial data in a credible manner to senior stakeholders;
  • Able to communicate effectively with both senior and junior finance and non-finance colleagues;
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and delegate accordingly;
  • Able to engage and motivate a team;
  • Excellent excel analytical skills;
  • Excellent PowerPoint and presentational skills;
