Job Purpose

Team Lead Reporting Commercial is accountable for the delivery of all analytics & reporting projects and changes within its subdomain, adhering to the agreed scope, timeline, and budget. They will possess a comprehensive understanding of commercial analytics, requirements, define suitable architecture, and ensure the seamless delivery of analytics projects. Team Lead’s expertise in stakeholder management, technical solutioning, data modeling, and team management will serve as a catalyst for driving innovation and enhancing the analytics capabilities.

 

Next to being the expert in his/her commercial analytics, the Team Lead has as people manager responsibility for a team of IT Engineers and potentially Project Managers and/or Scrum Masters. He/she is responsible for preparing and training its IT employees and business/functional stakeholders to work in a more agile way, starting to work in a DevOps way once the maturity is high enough. Selects the right candidates for the job, manages the workload of the team and ensures the right skills are embedded in the teams.

 

The Team Lead is responsible to manage the financials of his area of responsibility including Budget planning, rolling forecast planning and ensure that actuals have less than 5% deviation. The Team Lead will execute and enforce the working practices to ensure that the team achieves 100% PO compliance, that POs are created and approved before the work starts, that accruals are created and proactively managed to reflect the actual status of spend.

 

The Team Lead will ensure that defined KPIs are being used to measure and manage the financial performance.

Key Activities

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand their analytics needs, prioritize projects, and define clear objectives and success metrics.
  • Lead and manage a team of Data engineers & visualization specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to drive high-quality deliverables.
  • Design and architect end-to-end reporting & analytics solutions, including data extraction, transformation, modeling, and visualization. Connect with Architects across IT to design & ensure right architectural guidelines & practices are followed.
  • Define and execute the analytics strategy in alignment with business goals, ensuring that it supports data-driven decision-making and delivers measurable value.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness and impact of analytics initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations, maintaining high standards of data security and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to optimize the infrastructure and resources required for analytics initiatives, ensuring scalability, performance, and availability.
  • Oversee the design and development of advanced analytics models, algorithms, and techniques, such as predictive modeling, machine learning, and data mining.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in analytics, sharing knowledge and insights with the team and stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the analytics team, promoting skill-building, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and best practices for analytics development and project management.

Experience

Knowledge / technical expertise

 

Has in-depth, advanced knowledge of Commercial analytics (Digital & Non-Digital), reporting use cases, platforms and technologies and is able to oversee connections between business needs and analytics across Commercial domain and advises the business regarding innovative improvements.

Strong technical expertise in building end-to-end analytics solutions, including ETL, data modeling, visualization, and reporting.

In-depth knowledge of analytics platforms & workings, particularly Azure, PowerBI, SAP ERP.

Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning, predictive modeling, and data mining

Fluent in agile & DevOps concepts.

Analysis

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical analytics solutions.

Optimization

Initiates, formulates and implements new processes and procedures for the functional discipline and contributes to policy development for the function

Autonomy

Works independently on projects and major changes, within operational plans and policies; gives work instructions to and plans work for others. Acts as lead engineer in projects for specific domain or area and can translate requirement and architectural guidances in detailed designs.

Strategic priority set in collaboration with business.

Impact

Owns end-to-end analytics and reporting development, testing & deployment for a wide range of Functionality or Technicality and in complex environments.

Aware of business developments and business needs and gives advice to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements

Experience

7-10 years of relevant work experience

Relevant Bachelor or Master degree
