Job Purpose

Job Summary We are looking for a Functional Engineer – Reporting & Analytics with strong experience in data analysis, business analytics, and backend data platforms. The role acts as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating business requirements into data-driven insights and solutions.The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Databricks based data pipelines, data sources, and reporting layers, along with the ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and guide business stakeholders. Strong ownership and stakeholder interaction are key expectations for this role.

Key Accountabilities

Key Responsibilities • Act as the primary analytics and reporting partner for business stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations. • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities. • Translate business requirements into technical requirements and explain technical constraints to business teams. • Analyze backend data pipelines and datasets in Databricks to support analytics and reporting needs. • Design, maintain, and support Power BI reports, datasets, and semantic models. • Own end-to-end analytics and reporting solutions, ensuring data quality and usability.

Education

Must-Have Qualifications • 7–10 years of experience in data analysis or analytics, preferably in retail, commercial, or digital domains. • Strong experience with Databricks, including data pipelines, data sources, and data architecture. • Solid understanding of business analytics, KPIs, and commercial reporting. • Hands-on experience with Power BI and good working knowledge of SQL. • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams. Good-to-Have Skills • Experience with Azure Data Factory and Python. • Exposure to SAP or other enterprise data sources. • Familiarity with Azure DevOps / CI-CD practices.
