Job Purpose

  • The Functional Engineer Reporting reports into the Analytics Portfolio lead and is part of a broader global I.T – Advance Analytics team - Operating from various locations (Amsterdam, Barcelona, Pune)
  • His/her role is to support team on building, maintaining and delivering Analytics tools / dashboards/ reports, Data solutions for various functions of ISC – Customer ops, Warehouse, Transportation, Quality etc.
  • He will work closely with various internal stakeholders from ISC - BPMs / BPOs.
  • This role allows to get into Data engineering using Data bricks and Azure Data lake and grow further into specialist of Data engineering, Data scientist in future.

Key Activities

Solution design & development:

  • Develop new Power BI tools as required
  • Build up analytics using the right visualization and flow of information
  • Integrate & prepare data model from multi sourced systems - SAP ERP / HANA, Azure SQL, Azure Data lake, Excel, flat files  etc
  • Perform data transformation, Data modeling -  [joints, exclusion, enrichment, pivoting, un-pivoting etc.]
  • Build scalable, re-usable Data models (Power BI Dataflow, Data marts) which can be used by multiple projects
  • Automate tools/ data flow using best practices in collaboration with internal teams, IM architects , using Azure platform, other tools - Power Automate, Sharepoint list

Improve and maintain existing solutions:

  • Perform required changes and regular data load activities
  • Execute various operational daily/ weekly/ monthly reports
  • Communicate with internal BI team & external stakeholders
  • Work on Excel, Power BI, Sharepoint & other BI tools
  • Later Improve and maintain existing data solutions in collaboration with internal team

Experience

Academic and professional background:

  • Bachelor preferably in Information Management
  • 1 - 4 years of work experience as a data analyst or in related analytics area
  • Proficient in Power BI, Power App, Excel, SQL
  • Good to have understanding of – Azure Data lake, Data bricks, Python
  • At least 1-3 years work experience in developer roles in a global or multinational environment
  • Having a systematic and logical approach to Problem-solving skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
