Job Purpose

The Architect for Finance System plays a pivotal role within our global architecture team, ensuring the provision of technical direction essential for successful Delivery and Operations while delivering substantial business value. By upholding our Architecture Process, Principles, Standards, and Vision, the Architect Finance Systems consistently supports our transformation into a digitally operating company, in line with our aspirations.

As our global Architect for Finance Systems, you have the gravitas to define, design, and evolve the overall architecture of Finance and integrated domains. This encompasses determining the required technology stack and infrastructure, while ensuring alignment with AkzoNobel's overarching goals and strategies. Your ultimate goal is to guarantee that the systems, solutions, and large-scale changes implemented in Delivery and Operations meet both business and IT requirements. In this role, you will be reporting into the Domain Architect Enabling Functions.

Key Accountabilities

Comprehensive understanding of FP&A process, Financial operations ranged from strategic till service layers.

Demonstrated expertise in various finance technologies , including SAP S/4 HANA, Financial Planning Platforms and Treasury.

Understands emerging trends and technologies in automating finance operations such as robotics, and FPAs

Knowledge about  intercompany process, SAP Central Finance, S/4 HANA transformation and SAP on-premise ERP is must

Preferably 10+ years of experience in a large, global corporation, with exposure across project delivery, architecture, and operational roles.

Experience

Knowledge and Vision: Possess a deep understanding of foundational services architecture and the ability to envision its future state in alignment with business objectives.

Demonstrated architecture leadership experiences in a complex organization with multiple business and IT lines, preferably within the specific architecture area.

Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address architectural challenges in both the overall IT landscape and Finance domain.

Ambassador of Architecture Governance: Act as an advocate for architecture governance, ensuring adherence to established processes and standards across IT landscape.

Strategic Thinking and Adaptability: Apply strategic thinking to align finance architecture with the evolving needs of the organization while remaining adaptable to change.

Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at different levels, articulate concepts, and influence decision-making processes.

Prove experiences and ability to communicate with and manage C-Level stakeholders and bring your point across

Business Acumen: Understand the business context and demonstrate the ability to align architectural decisions with organizational goals and objectives, deliver robust roadmap supporting the company's strategic direction.

 

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership, guidance, and expertise to drive the successful implementation of IT initiatives and projects. Your contribution will be instrumental in shaping our IT landscape, enabling us to optimize processes and drive meaningful business outcomes.
