Job Purpose

AkzoNobel is a global leader in paints and coatings, operating in over 150 countries with a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability. Our Digital Transformation Team is a pioneering unit functioning like a start-up within the company with a strong business case to curate these capabilities in Pune, India. We aim to transform one-third of our workforce (10,000 FTEs) into digitally fluent professionals, transition €10 billion in revenue through digital channels, and accelerate growth through next-generation platforms such as Web 2.0, Lead Management, CRM 2.0, eCommerce, and Order Management. This team combines platform innovation, process redesign, and human adoption to deliver measurable impact at scale.

 

Joining the vibrant Digital Transformation Team will place you at the heart of driving commercial digital excellence and strategic initiatives. As a Specialist, you will bring digital experiences to life by executing requests with precision and quality. You will be the first point of contact for digital activation needs, ensuring compliance, optimizing performance, and advising BU teams on best practices.

Key Activities

  • Deliver web & eCommerce projects at speed with flawless operational excellence, hitting every deadline while staying aligned with AkzoNobel’s global standards.
  • Stand as the guardian of privacy, UX perfection, accessibility, and brand integrity, fiercely protecting our reputation and earning unbreakable customer trust in every market.
  • Supercharge Business Unit marketers with high-impact, data-powered consulting, turning analytics into bold optimization moves that improve engagement, conversion, and digital dominance.
  • Team up with IT, product owners, marketing, and global squads to streamline workflows, and unlock next-level performance.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and craft game-changing playbooks, training academies, and gold-standard documentation that scale expertise across continents.
  • Fuel adoption of our digital platforms by leading high-energy onboarding and activation programs that turn regional teams into power users.

Experience

  • 2–5 years in digital marketing, web operations, or eCommerce.
  • Exposure to content management systems and analytics tools.
  • Experience in managing service requests and ensuring compliance.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Self-starter, a curious & proactive learner capable of driving change at the grassroot levels.
  • Digital fluency and ability to learn new platforms quickly.
  • Analytical mindset for performance insights and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborative approach and problem-solving attitude.
  • Familiarity with CMS (eg AEM, Contentful), analytics tools (GA4), and ticketing systems (Jira).
