Job Purpose
The innovative and effective deployment of data and analytics is key to the success of companies today. AkzoNobel is no exception as we seek to embed the improved understanding of data across the company. Identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize the use of data within our R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales, Finance, HR, and Sourcing Functions have been services delivered from our MDM Global Organization over the last few years. We need additional support in these areas with a strong focus on Finance functions.
For these reasons, GBS Master Data Services requires a Data Domain Expert.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for (or support) the activities done by the CoE for the Finance (PtR) data domain in alignment with the MDM roadmap.
- For the Finance (PtR) data domain, drives standardized End to End Processes and Tools around MDM to Improve Quality of Delivery, Optimize Cost to Serve, Control & Compliance, and Enhancing Customer Experience.
- Support the GDA/MDS CoE Team Lead to build an MDM roadmap for the Finance (PtR) data domain
- Communicates and implement the MDM vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Finance (PtR) data domain
- Defines scope and activities of projects and processes, status reports and ensures execution and delivery by agreed timeline.
- Responsible for (or support) implementing proper preventive/detective controls for the CRUD activities of the MDS Operations for the Finance (PtR) data domain
- Manage the escalation process of issues or support the resolution of issues raised by the business to the CoE for the Finance (PtR) data domain
- Act as a change agent and communicator for MDS, enabling continuous commitment for and awareness of MDM
- IM touchpoint, driving master data standardization, organizational, and system alignment for the Finance (PtR) data domain
- Continued focus on innovation and standardization to drive down total cost to serve and enhance customer satisfaction through process optimization for the Finance (PtR) data domain
- Foster communication and teamwork within and across organizational boundaries
- Ability to analyze, design, and implement the need for MDM in complex landscapes, both from a system perspective and an organizational perspective for the Finance (PtR) data domain. Proposes measures on optimizing tactical/strategic approaches and implements these.
- Ability to utilize metrics to identify opportunities for service improvement
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Customer service mindset with excellent customer service skills
Experience
- Post-graduation in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 8 years’ overall experience with 5 years’ experience in MDM-related function
- SAP FICO configuration and deployment experience. Both FI, as well as CO.
- SAP functional expertise and technical knowledge. A clear understanding of core SAP table structures for all the Finance objects.
- SAP treasury payment factory experience.
- SAP business partner S/4 experience.
- SAP Central Finance experience is a plus.
- SAP MDM Fiori experience (MDG-F. for GL/Cost Center/Profit Center).
- Experience with SAP Intercompany Process.
- Clear understanding of core IDOC processing error analysis and handling
- SAP Tax set-up and config experience.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Project Management
- Experience in coaching small teams
- Experience in the implementation of MDM processes
- Experience in interfacing with business stakeholders
- Experience in MDM process improvement and root cause analysis
- Experience in MDM application systems development and implementation
- Experience in complex IT systems and business environments
- Experience in Power BI/ SQL dashboard or similar tooling is preferable but not required.
- Understanding of external factors influencing master data management, such as competitors, regulatory requirements, best-in-class practices, etc.
- Leverages best-in-class examples and key expert / key stakeholder input to design the appropriate MDM foundation
