Job Purpose
The innovative and effective deployment of data and analytics is key to the success of companies today. AkzoNobel is no exception as we seek to embed the improved understanding of data across the company. Identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize the use of data within our R&D, Manufacturing, Integrated Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales, Finance, HR and Sourcing Functions have been services delivered from our MDM Global Organisation over the last few years. We need additional support in these areas with a strong focus on Commercial and Sales (Customer master and Pricing data). For these reasons, GBS Master Data Services requires a Data Domain Expert to support our Commercial function.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for (or support) the activities done by the CoE for the Commercial & Sales domain in alignment the MDM Roadmap
- Drives standardized Commercial End to End Processes and Tools around MDM to Improve Quality of Delivery, Optimize Cost to Serve, Control & Compliance, and Enhancing Customer Experience
- Support the MDS CoE Team Lead to build an MDM roadmap for the Commercial & Sales domain
- Support the scope and activities of projects and processes and ensures execution
- Responsible for (or support) implementing proper preventive/detective controls for the CRUD activities of MDS Operations for Commercial & Sales
- Manage escalation process of Commercial & Sales issues or support the resolution of issues raised by business to the CoE
- IM touchpoint, driving master data standardization, organizational and system alignment for the Commercial & Sales domain
Key Activities
- Initiates and formulates new methods/ procedures and contributes to organizational/ departmental issues
- Draws conclusions based on complex analysis, proposes measures on optimizing tactical/strategic approaches and implements these
- Assignment of own time to several, sometime conflicting in priorities, activities (projects, changes) for the relevant data domain
- Coordinates and checks other people work, pro-actively shares best practice, ideas and insights with colleagues and provides and requests (functional) feedback
- Supporting standardizing of processes and documentation for MDM across the company, working in close cooperation with the counterparts from Paints, Coatings and Business Process Leads
- Advises functional directors, BU managing directors or high level experts on area of expertise
Experience
- Post-graduation in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 8 overall experience with 5 experience in MDM related function, supporting our Commercial functions
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and SAP MDG experience preferred
- Strong domain knowledge of customer master and pricing data.
- Good data profiling and analytical skills.
- CRM Experience a plus
- Commercial Services, Sales, Customer Relations or equivalent background a plus
- Experience in Master Data Governance; development and implementation of best MDM governance practices.
- Ability to deliver quality work within strict deadlines while managing multiple priorities and acting with a sense of urgency.
