Job Purpose

Credit Manager (CM) is responsible for the stakeholder mgt. and ensures EMEA BU performance is delivered in line with I2C targets. Contributing to the success of the results of BUs. Key objectives of the job are:

  • Monthly performance reporting at BU EMEA level, and engagement with EMEA BU stakeholders on behalf of all EMEA teams
    • Analysis: Analytical part focused towards I2C KPIs (Overdue/ Legal/Order block etc.)
    • Control & Governance: Control & governance around I2C Processes
    • Budget & Forecasting: Lead in budgeting and forecasting. Ownership for operational results is with country TLs, but CM will coordinate and support consolidation and alignment
  • Support improvement in overdue debt and collection effectiveness for the EMEA region through:
    • Top 20 customer OD report at EMEA BU level with clear overview of actions taken and next steps. (based on input country teams/TLs). The CMs collect and aggregate at EMEA BU level, but are not active in the process itself.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Own Monthly performance reporting at BU EMEA level, and engage with EMEA BU stakeholders. And ensure analysis is in adherence with established credit review procedures and regulatory guidelines. Participate in month-end close process (like checking HFM results). Ensure EMEA standardized reporting across all BUs
  • CMs are responsible for monitoring and reporting of EMEA BU performance delivery towards I2C targets for overdues and disputes, and present action plan for gaps/deviations (collected from TL in operations) and report to RPDL or/and GPDL
  • Build effective collaboration with BU Stakeholders
  • Coordination and ownership of pre-collection results, execution stays with country collection teams, coordination and strategy with Credit Managers.
  • Supporting and coordination of operational results at BU EMEA regional level together with country team leads. The Credit Manager will coordinate and support in consolidation and alignment.
  • Support the GPDL monthly performance calls- own monthly reviews between credit manager, country TLs& RPDLs
  • Clear overview of actions taken and next steps regarding TOP20 overdue (based on input from country teams/TLs)

Experience

  • Proven work experience as a credit manager (or experience in AkzoNobel in I2C position).
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software.
  • Good understanding of lending procedures.
  • Advanced mathematical skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Experience working as a business partner with management.
  • Experience in execution of standard processes.
  • Able to set priorities and work independently.
