Job Responsibilities
Long Description
- Costing run & error analysis
- Execution: Execute the first cost run (CK40N) for RM, PM followed by subsequent costing runs for SEFI, FINI, ICD, SET, TRAD, Configured Materials, etc.
- Error resolution: Perform early error resolution and ensure accurate marking of raw and packing prices.
- Release: Schedule and manage the release of costing runs.
- ICD Price conditions update & publish pricelist
- Update: Updating ICD prices in Live environment & PIR in non-live ERP environment
- Publish: Prepare & Publish ICD price lists to ensure ICD transactions at latest cost
- Material Ledger run & error analysis:
- Execution: Perform Material Ledger run for the relevant plants where ML is active
- Error analysis: Understand the errors in ML, identify the drivers and take up for resolution
- Inventory Reval Analysis:
Sync with RMP movements: Prepare SEFI/FINI/SET impacts in line with raw and packing price changes.
Review of other changes: Identify the other component Impact on Revaluation (e.g. BOM change, costing lot size change, etc.)
Report: Prepare the consolidated Inventory Revaluation report at BU Level.
- Tariff Maintenance:
Maintenance: Update the tariff rates, perform thorough analysis, ensure accurate tariff being loaded on the products as approved by ISC Nav’s.
- ICD Price Difference Analysis:
Analyze and report the price movements: In case of ICD materials, preparing a price difference file, conducting primary analysis, and updating all required details.
- Material Master Review:
- Review: Periodic review of Material Master for inconsistencies such as DNC, deletion flag, etc.
- Flagging: To flag the material master issues to the relevant teams (MDM, plant technical team, etc.)
- Correction: Follow ups for necessary corrections to ensure release of accurate cost of the products
- Specialized costing Activities:
- New Product Costing: Upon introduction of new product (after the completion of preceding steps by other stakeholders), officer is required to perform costing of the new product. Also, assess the cost basis the existing similar product and flag in case of any evident errors in the preceding steps.
- Cost simulation: Perform the cost simulations basis Ad-hoc request and provide the cost to the stakeholder to assist them in processing the necessary changes in the product BOM/routing
- Customized process: Conduct plant specific processes such as ZFKKPA1 and ZFTRP50 runs, including analysis and marking.
- Daily NPI Tracking: Develop and maintain a daily NPI tracking report that includes detailed cost splits for review and analysis.
- Control & Compliance:
Internal Audit: Support requirements towards Statutory and Internal Audit
Others: Adhere to control guidelines and checks

- Knowledge sharing: Conduct session and share knowledge within team and across region on process, business understanding, tools, SOP, workflow etc.
- Self-help Tools: Prepare self-help tools that can be referred in future by finance community
- Skill development: Leverage AkzoNobel’s internal learning programs for skill development
- Other support (SOP, Workflow & training):
- SOP & Standardization: Preparation of SOPs which helps smooth execution of the activities and handover / takeover in case of any transition
- Ad hoc reports: To provide ad hoc reports to stakeholders which help them in their decision making (e.g. impact of VMC change through RMPI / change in BOM / routing, trend of top-down adjustments, etc.)
- Financial Tools:
- Understanding of tools: VMC CoE Team is expected to understand financial tools and critically evaluate how it can be best leveraged/enhanced for routine work.
- System Improvement: Drive actions towards closure of gaps identified in system / conditions / process.
- Current Trend: Tools like CFIN, Power BI, HFM, SAP, Alteryx is crucial for success of VMC CoE; associates are expected to work on these tools.
