Job Description:

 

1. Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job:

 Develop, implement, and refine software asset management policies, processes, and procedures.

 Proficient in running large and complex software license estate that is deployed globally.

 Verify compliance with software licenses, contracts, and vendor agreements to prevent legal liability and financial losses.

 Develop and implement software license optimization strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

 Lead external vendor audit engagements.

 Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Software Asset Manager – CSAM from IAITAM, ITIL v3/v4 Certification) are advantageous.

 Deep knowledge of Software Licensing across a range of key enterprise software vendors and their licensing terms (including Adobe, Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, Autodesk, ServiceNow, etc).

 Experience working with AD, Intune, SCCM is a must.

 Advanced / expert knowledge in MS Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, MS BI Reporting / QlikView / Tableau

 Responsible for investigating, documenting, resolving, and reporting of requests and incidents for the services in scope.

 Experience in conducting periodic internal assessments to produce an Effective License Position and familiarity with vendor licensing is a must.

 Collaborate with Delivery managers / product managers and other stakeholders across the organization to understand software license needs and ensure they are adequately met.

 Assist in budgeting by estimating bottom-up operational costs, prior experience handling financial responsibility is a plus.

 Raise and manage software purchasing orders through their lifecycle (including Goods Receipting’) - Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders - Liaise with suppliers to request quotes (and maintain appropriate supplier records)

 Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems.

 Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy, and relevance.

 Create and maintain Software Inventory, close, and adjust the gaps if any.

 Prepare monthly KPI presentation decks.

 

2. Job Requirements:

 Bachelor's / master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

 5+ years of previous software asset management experience is required.

 4 - 6 years’ experience working in any one of the SAM tools like Flexera / SNOW / ServiceNow

 Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

 Works independently and collaboratively

 Client relationship and stakeholder management experience

 Knowledge of the ITIL Framework.

 Extreme detail oriented in all aspects of work.
