Are you ready to accelerate your career in sales and technical expertise? Join our team in Port Melbourne as a Technical Sales Representative and be the driving force behind customer success in Vehicle Refinishing (VR) products! If you're passionate about vehicles and building lasting customer connections, this role is for you. You'll report to our Regional Sales Manager and work closely with a supportive team.

What You'll Do:

 

  • Showcase AkzoNobel's products confidently and enthusiastically.
  • Serve as the go-to expert in repair systems, offering hands-on technical guidance.
  • Identify and qualify potential new customers using a needs-based approach.
  • Empower customers with in-depth product knowledge for informed choices in premium and trade markets.
  • Execute precise equipment installations, from mixing machines to Mixit PCs, for both premium and trade markets.
  • Monitor competition, providing valuable insights to the management team.
  • Support local colour development through regular submission of creative colour spray outs and panels.

To excel in this role, you should have:

 

  • Hands-on experiences, especially from an Auto Body Technician/Panel Beater background.
  • Understanding of Vehicle Refinishing market trends, competitors, and opportunities.
  • Proven expertise in providing technical support, qualifying new customers, and conducting Panel shop visits.
  • A keen eye for detail, especially when it comes to technical aspects and their applications, specifications, procedures, and role-specific requirements.
  • Effective customer relationship management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Time and territory management skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and interstate for training and quarterly meetings.
