Total Compensation
- Annual base Salary of $65,000.00 to $75,000.00
- 3 weeks’ vacation + 5 personal/Sick days + company determined floater days.

Contract Duration
One Year.
Job Purpose
This is a one-year contract. The HSE Coordinator process hazard reviews, technical data, services, and information pertaining to health, safety, and environmental concerns to ensure an effective program in compliance with corporate, federal, and local regulations.
Key Activities
- Maintains corporate safety program by administering policies, reviewing technical data, and implementing new procedures to ensure a safe work environment in compliance with corporate, provincial, and local safety regulations.
- Monitors and controls the administration component of the 5S system.
- Administers environmental and safety programs such as hazardous wastes, pollution reduction, industrial hygiene, OHSA, fire safety and prevention, etc.
- Participates in safety audits as required.
- Participates in Gemba walks and lead behavioural based safety program.
- Provides safety training such as orientation, supervisor training, spill containment, safety workshops, etc.
- Leads accident investigations, and collects and analyze injury data to determine root cause.
- Attends and participates in site safety programs and training.
- Performs additional duties as required including developing and monitoring fire protection requirements, monitoring exposure levels for employees, promoting environmental regulations, etc., to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with the law.
3. Level of autonomy (decision making and independent judgement)
Apply judgement to determine how to achieve set objectives, programs and audits.
Job Requirements
- Post Secondary Education in Health & Safety, Engineering or equivalent related program
- 2-3 years of HS&E related experience required (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact different levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the OHSA
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemica
