Key Accountabilities and Tasks

  • Represent Logistics in cross functional-/hub projects, e.g. related to warehouse changes, volumes transfers, outsourcing initiatives, tenders, value engineering initiatives, regional quality initiatives, etc.
  • Lead or co-ordinate and support Logistics related improvement initiatives/projects within region to improve leading metrics like OTIF and Supply chain costs.
  • Drive capability improvements within the team and implement new concepts, tools and processes in collaboration
  • Act as point of escalation for operational team to give technical support for SAP & other tools.
  • Drive standardization of processes across transport and warehousing working closely with regional Logistics teams to bring efficiencies
  • Day-to-day management of logistics operations
  • Responsible for the management of the Logistics cost OLC, service OTIF, quality and HSE.
  • Ensure all business logistics requirements are understood, documented and met (includes Operating manuals, audits, legislation, regulations & HSE requirements).
  • Co-ordinate activities with internal and external logistics providers within scope with support of Purchase to Pay (P2P).
  • Engage with and manage performance of warehousing and freight providers.

Key Accountabilities and Tasks.

  • Identify and manage supply chain development projects outside of day-to-day management of logistics operations to:
    • Seek cost reduction and/or process/service improvement
    • Align with AkzoNobel logistics strategy
    • Collaborate with other countries logistics colleagues
    • Activity participate in ANT pipeline, ALPs Deliver and IBP ways of working.
  • Analyse monthly KPI and activity reports to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Report monthly adherence to operational KPIs and financial budget.
  • Ensuring availability of required Transport / warehouse capacity, including ensuring optimal transport mode is used.
  • Build up and maintain relationship with all stakeholders

Job Purpose

Purpose of the Job

 

To implement change management project in alignment with other functions i.e. Commercial, CS Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing

Provide end to end leadership for warehousing and transportation allowing maximum operational flexibility according to customer service, quality, HSE and cost targets

To be business responsible person for logistics activities at a range of all Coatings Business Units in Romania. Reporting to the CLM as part of the Supply Chain Organisation. To be the logistics first point of contact for multiple BUs (MPY, POW, ICO) interfacing with relevant internal stakeholders as required ensuring customer services levels and projects are progressed according to business needs.

 

Knowledges/Skills

 

  • High level of administration skills.
  • Able to engage, lead and/or influence others.
  • Methodical and structured approach to project management.
  • Flexible ability to handle multiple and complex tasks.
  • Analytical with conclusions. Creative and Innovative.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of key aspects within the Logistics industry.
  • Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills – to advanced level.
  • Other software (ERP preferrable SAP etc.)
  • Able to work alone or contribute to teams, as required.
  • English speaking
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a supply chain role, preferably in Chemicals sector

 

Experience

  • Leadership and influencing experience internal and external
  • Strong teamwork oriented leadership
  • Strong hands-on experience working within the logistics environment specially in SAP.
  • Third party logistics provider management experience is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational, data management and analytical skills.
  • Proven project management background. Strong ability to obtain project input and promote support from many different stakeholders.

Education

  • Professionally qualified
  • Minimum Bachelor degree, desirable University Education (e.g. Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, Business Administration or other relevant discipline) with Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Driving license
