Job Purpose

To further support its growth, Fabryo is looking for a seasoned marketing professional for the role of Category Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will work on developing the strategy and activity plans for products and brands in close collaboration with advertising agencies and internal departments and will report to the Marketing Manager of Romania and Greece.

What are the main responsibilities of the Category Marketing Manager position:

  • Generates and leads the implementation of the business strategy of the category, with focus on product portfolio and brand management activities, pricing, activation, and promotion.
  • Identifies and coordinates the implementation of new business opportunities, new products and services.
  • Generates and leads the implementation of the annual plan of marketing activities and ensures efficient investment within the allocated budget.
  • Proposes product range and brand optimizations.
  • Coordinates and is responsible for the P&L.
  • Performs analysis and monitors competition, market conditions and customer requirements to uncover opportunities of course corrective actions.
  • With emphasis on Digital, coordinates ATL and BTL activities, so as to ensure optimum reach and demand generation.
  • Provides accurate local Business case for (global) initiatives.
  • Creates the annual sales budget together with channel managers and is actively involved in monitoring sales results and proposing and implementing corrective actions.
  • Responsible for the relationship and negotiations with the main marketing suppliers for his/her category.
  • Provides training on category products and brands to both internal and external customers.
  • Analyses sales results, profitability, brand indicators and proposes corrective or acceleration measures.

You are the ideal candidate if your competencies and experience include:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing.
  • Minimum 5 years in marketing with experience in product portfolio development/ATL/BTL/digital communication; sales experience a plus.
  • Prior working experience in FMCG/Advertising/Paints & Coatings/Construction/Chemical industry a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Practical knowledge in financial management and solution generation for product and brand P&L improvement.
  • Results oriented, fact based and self-organized person that can weave around priorities and deliver on deadlines.
  • Project management, verbal and written communication skills paired with the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent command of English, digital savviness, competent use of MS-Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook).

The success of the position will be measured on:

  • Sales and profitability performance of the category he/she manages.
  • Evolution of brand and market share indicators for the brands under his/her responsibility.
  • The success of the communication projects it handles (KPI depending on the project).
  • Keeping the planned budget under control.
  • Implementation of activities within the agreed timeframe.
