About the GET Program

 

AkzoNobel’s Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) program is a 24-month international development track designed to launch your career within our Integrated Supply Chain. You’ll gain hands-on experience in both managerial and expert roles, contribute to manufacturing innovation, and build the foundation for future leadership or specialist positions across AkzoNobel worldwide.

 

Program Structure

  • 1st year: Based at AkzoNobel’s factory in Pilawa (Poland)
  • 2nd year: Rotation to a different AkzoNobel site in Europe to gain exposure to diverse operations and cultures

 

What you will do

 

During the program, you will:

  • Contribute to process optimization and investment projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Identify improvement opportunities, design solutions, and implement changes
  • Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring delivery within approved limits
  • Ensure compliance with company codes, practices, and QA/QC and performance standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret project needs and provide technical support
  • Investigate process failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Apply data analysis and structured problem-solving to improve plant and equipment efficiency

 

 

What makes you a great fit

 

  • Final-year student or Bachelor’s/Master’s graduate in Production Management, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field
  • Strong interest in building a career in manufacturing within a multinational company
  • Willing to relocate after the program to take on roles across AkzoNobel’s international sites (Europe)
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively in diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Eager to learn across different functions and technologies
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills; proactive and ownership-driven
  • Fluency in English and Polish (required)
