The Operational Lead Purchase-to-Pay (“P2P”) is responsible for managing the team that handles non-product related (NPR) procurement requests from across the region while ensuring compliance with global standards and control frameworks in the P2P processes. This role will ensure that KPIs are met and deliver on operational objectives thereby meeting/exceeding customer satisfaction with an added emphasis on continuous improvement of processes. This is a regional role, responsible for entities/countries in Paints and Coatings P2P processes in a region; hosted by GBS Regional Delivery Center.

Acting as liaison across functional peers, to align cross-functional objectives in order to realize end-to-end optimization, improve on current processes, share best practices and to realize company’s strategy and targets.   

This position requires an individual with a strong background in operational work, managing people and ability to deliver and improve routine processes to drive business efficiency and deliver results

 

  • Manage a team of regional operational officers
  • Supports staff resource planning, organizing, and monitoring of key processes, including assisting in hiring, training, and evaluating staff, and taking effective actions to address performance matters
  • Conducting workshops and training sessions related to global process standards, methodologies and systems;
  • Contact for questions regarding P2P related topics;
  • Engage with and consult relevant stakeholders in process improvement;
  • Monitor the delivery of P2P processes in a standardized manner to allow process to be performed efficiently
  • Performs gatekeeping role to uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws
  • Support actions that will provide closure of gaps (local deviations)
  • Contribute and develop the GPA on the design of the P2P (NPR) policies and procedures
  • Global/Regional support preparing reports in order to help in various analysis 
  • Manage all related activities during transition phase of programs related to P2P (PR & NPR)

Job requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent 
  • Minimum 4 years experience in Sourcing, including processes, ways of working, documentation and compliance requirements;
  • Leadership experience is an asset;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken; any other language is a plus.
  • CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager)/APICS (Association for Production and Inventory Control) desirable;
  • Capable of analyzing complex procurement & finance processes and issues;
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Six Sigma is a plus;
  • Excellent communicator with different management layers in different functions (Finance, Procurement, IM) and in different parts of the company (BU, GBS and BPO);
  • Ability to apply market knowledge to sourcing projects to create extra value for stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of procurement practices and sourcing/supply chain trends and dynamics
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and influential skills
  • Ability to analyze complex data and use this to develop sourcing opportunities
  • Ability to build relationships across the organization and all geographic regions
  • Quick learner; absorbs information and concepts quickly.
