Job Purpose

The purpose of this job is to penetrate and drive new opportunity for project business in the country and develop relationship and conduct account management of identified Key Accounts – developers, main cons and painting companies primarily and Architects to have a robust pipeline of projects for the sales and specification team to work on. This position will create the additional business to overall organization and set up a strategic channel for long term project growth. 

Key Accountabilities

•    Align to BU strategy and ensure execution of strategic initiatives for delivery of the business objectives
•    Research and identify potential business opportunity by analyzing market trends, competitor activities
•    Develop and implement strategic initiatives to penetrate target markets and increase market share  
•    Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the project channel, including new construction projects, renovations, and expansions
•    Develop and nurture relationships with decision-makers to secure project contracts and partnerships
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, developers and other key stakeholders involved in constructions projects
•    Able to present AkzoNobel products and services at industry events, trade shows and networking function to promote products and build brand awareness.
•    Provide market analysis and trends, including competitive and environmental forces influencing the market 
•    Provide feedback to Sales Managers/ Marketing team base on the information from the customers and project sales team to help the internal team and external stakeholders identify solutions options 
•    Coordinate with Project sales, Technical services, Specification team for ensuring best in class service to the Key account customers 
•    Support Large & Mega projects for the defined in key accounts in coordination with Sales Managers/ Marketing team/ Key account Representative teams 

Experience

Skills and Knowledge 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
•    Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Specification, Project sales, Business development or sales within the construction industry - cement, tiles, fittings, paints, building material. 
•    Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, including bidding process, specifications, and project management
•    Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
•    Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision makers
•    Must be a self-starter, highly organized with strong account management skills; ability to multi-task effectively with cross functional teams and meet deadlines
•    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
•    Clear communication skills (written and verbal communication skills) and strong interpersonal and influencing skills
•    Prior work experience in B2B environment will be an advantage 
•    Should be able to travel across the country
