Job Purpose
The purpose of this job is to implement set of plans and tactical programs for Shoppers, developed in line with the strategic framework of the BU, by enabling SSO and LSO implementation. The job will involve working closely with the area sales teams to drive purchase conversion to achieve retail offtake growth and ensure delivery of the SMART KPI’s.
Key Accountabilities
Deployment of in-store Off-take program and tactical programs for shoppers
Deployment of In-store Merchandising model
Deployment of Category Management approach
Key Account Management approach
Key Activities
Driving quality implementation, rigorous performance measurement to facilitate achievement optimum performance of the In-store initiatives
Driving roll out of the defined objectives to deliver growth and profit objectives, given aggressive competitive pressures and organisation complexity
Organizing and allocating resources across key initiatives in an optimal way to support the on-field implementation of various initiatives
Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business or related course with a minimum of 4 - 6 years in a commercial role with prior experience is mandatory – sales/ trade marketing/ channel marketing experience or country level experience in a commercial role in paint and/or building and construction material industry will be an advantage
Understanding of the merchandising concepts, and prior experience in Category Management (CatMan) will be added advantage
Should have the ability to convert Research data and Commercial data into insights and commercial business ideas
Superior Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word),
Must be a self-starter, highly organized with good project management skills; ability to multi-task effectively and meet deadlines
Clear communication skills (written and verbal communication skills) and strong interpersonal and influencing skills
