Job Description

Key Accountabilities    

  • To fuel the progress of tinting activities in the region by providing expertise in developing tinting databases and colour recipe updates for the rapidly expanding POST systems across countries in the region and to provide technical software and online support in all related areas of tinting.
  • To work with other categories on new product development and productivities project.  

Job Description

  • Support colour recipe delivery activities to ensure continuous improvement of POST in the region:
  • Create and deliver recipe databases and various country setting files to the countries upon their update requests and in line with the yearly POST Flight Plan
  • Administer and maintain an efficient countries colour database upon every update, correction and exclusion request for tracking purposes
  • Provide post-delivery technical support on recipe and database amendments and recommendations on POST software configurations
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer of global POS formulae book (Mix2Win Next) and back-office program (MixMan) to PDC Colour Category by better understanding the specifications, requirements and changes required to deploy the software
  • Develop and enhance software to improve quality and operations of POST activities:
  • Develop local software and enhance existing software with updated colour information or theory in aid of improving colour assessment & delivery
  • Develop local utilities to facilitate recipe update tasks and database delivery to the region
  • Conduct detailed evaluation on any software that will be used in POST & related area including POST PC and machine UDCP
  • Manage Master Database of the regional colour recipes and ensure effective backup is maintained at all times 
  • Manage the ON-LINE platform and provide support for country roll out.
  • Colour Matchning at Lab using POST Machines and software.
  • Ensure color related works/projects are carried out according to protocols and test methods at PDC level.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of Diploma or above education level in Chemistry or Science based courses
  • Good communication skills in English
  • On going software support and troubleshooting for SESA region. 
  • Potentially interfacing software with machine. 
  • Hands-on work approach and commitment Knowledge on pigment performance and co-relation with lab test parameters.
  • Very good analytical ability Conversant with Paint testing and Test Methods
  • Good knowledge on Color / Colorant/ Pigment/ Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Paint formulation                    
  • Candidate with 1-2 years working experience and fresh graduates are welcome
