Purpose of the Job

The Logistics Coordinator Support will be responsible for the operation and service levels of the European Distribution Centre in Venlo. Together with the rest of the team, he/she will ensure the requirements of the Customer Order Sales desks in France, Spain, Germany, Benelux and Eastern Europe are met, and that the OTIF performance of the EDC and the transport suppliers is in line with Service Level Agreements and company objectives.
 

Key Accountabilities and Tasks

  • Daily communication with the COS desks, factories, EDC and transport companies, in order to ensure the continuity of supply of products to the end-user customer;
  • Take a lead role to resolve immediate operational issues and then ensure longer term countermeasures are designed and implemented. To develop a cross-functional process improvement culture with COS Desks and key stakeholders;
  • (To be the primary local contact for legislative authorities and external organisations, such as Customs and the Dutch Ministry of Transport);
  • Timely processing of supplier’s invoices within SRM (raising purchase orders, booking-in of invoices, resolving issues, splitting of invoices for inter-company recharging);
  • Monitor OTIF and KPI metrics for the EDC and transport routes; to highlight potential sub-performance and ensure corrective actions are taken in a timely manner. Check and resolve system errors in a timely fashion to minimise any potential delays;
  • Ensure compliance of all Export Control requirements;
  • Oversee cycle count stocktakes at the EDC;
  • Complaints handlings ensuring local SLA conditions are met for logging, investigating, reporting and completing corrective actions as identified;
  • Slow moving stock and obsolete stock handling.  Liaising with business colleagues to ensure the timely handling of physical removal and updating of systems records;
  • Coordination of labelling activity for various over-labelling streams;
  • Confirmation errors resolution (pick errors etc). Daily monitoring and processing to ensure stock accuracy to allow order fulfilment;
  • Update stock adjustments in Saturn and LSP (WMS);
  • Control of Project Stocks to ensure they are accurately maintained and processes followed;
  • Handling of Rapid Transit Requests (for orders outside cut-off times and express shipments);
  • Creation of export documents (incl. dispatch notes, DGNs, shipping invoices etc);
  • Ensuring all inbound receipt are issues corrected in a timely manner;
  • Ensuring all stock quarantine/pass adjustments are actioned quickly and accurately in both Saturn and LSP systems;
  • Ensuring all returns are handled within agreed timeframes.

 

Requirements to be able to perform the Job

Experience

  • Customer service and administration
  • Warehousing, transport and customs


Knowledge/Skills 

  • English and Dutch language speaker
  • Good IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel and SAP
  • Shipping of hazardous materials
  • Export processes
  • High level of attention to detail. Excellent personal organisation
  • Ability to work within time constraints
  • Pro-active, independent
  • Good communicator


Education/Certificates/Licences/Registration required

  • Good standard of education required


Working Conditions 

  • Predominantly based in the Venlo Office, from Monday to Friday.
