Job Objective

The role of the Sourcing Support Analyst is to enable superior Indirect purchasing results, as well as results in the other areas of AkzoNobel, through consequent and detailed analysis (spend reviews, data extracts, category cycle planning), RFX support, supplier performance management, mid-office activities (CLM/PSL/ANT oversight) and medium-value spot buy support (including bid-analysis and recommendations).
The Sourcing Support Analyst typically uses this knowledge to support Category Managers in establishing their category and supplier strategies and advocating standardization in processes that enable the sharing or best practices.

Key Accountabilities

Provides analytics support:

  • Data extracts
  • Spend analyses
  • Process analyses

Manages efficient administration of mid-office Procurement processes:

  • Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)
  • Preferred Supplier Lists (PSL)
  • Procurement Impact Reporting (ANT)
  • Proposes new/improved tools and improved ways of using existing Information management  
  • Supports complex tender process for category managers (e-sourcing tool, RFQ templates and release, quote receipts and comparison)
  • Develops and standardizes/automates reporting
  • Provides contract management support (templates and management)
  • Provides performance management support and reporting
  • Executes medium-value (10-100k) spot buys as necessary with category manager guidance 
  • Leads or assists on miscellaneous projects requiring Procurement input – compliance, audits, M&A, etc.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • BA required (MSc preferred)
  • CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager)/APICS (Association for Production and Inventory Control) desirable
  • Expertise working with business analytics tools (i.e. Power BI, Alteryx) and ERP systems (SAP)
  • Relevant work experience, preferably in a procurement, supply chain, logistics or financial related context
