Job Purpose

Develop, optimize and execute the regional Resins Integrated Supply Chain strategy in alignment with global objectives, focusing on collaboration with regional functions. Lead strategic initiatives across Make-Toll-Buy decisions, including insourcing, transfers, and business continuity planning, to drive operational excellence and long-term value.  Act as a key stakeholder interface, ensuring strong communication and collaboration with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, and other regional/global functions in North America. Responsible for Resins Supply Chain for all AkzoNobel business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the monthly regional Resins Supply Management Review as part of the Integrated Business Planning process to allow robust demand- and supply planning, scenario modeling, and alignment across North America functions.  
  • Identify and lead initiatives to enhance end-to-end supply chain performance, focusing on service levels, cost-to-serve, and working capital optimization.
  • Define and execute the regional Resins supply strategy and roadmap, overseeing the full project portfolio including product introductions, insourcing/outsourcing, and transfers.
  • Deliver the regional savings target with focus on the insourcing and operational efficiency.
  • Will work with Procurement, Research/Development/Innovation, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other functions.
  • Establish and maintain robust business continuity plans for North America Resins, including dual sourcing strategies across internal and external supply channels.
  • Drive supply chain readiness and resilience to support new product introductions, capacity changes, and market shifts, while ensuring optimal network configurations and robust replenishment models are effectively implemented.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Supply Chain roles in Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Paints/Coatings, Retail, or consulting environments.  Experience should include Supply Planning, Production Planning, Integrated Business Planning, Sales and Operations Planning.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and performance metrics.
  • Proven success in driving supply chain improvements with measurable impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects such as insourcing, transfers and cost-saving initiatives, using effective project management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in coordinating teams and managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage change and influence diverse stakeholder groups across functions and geographies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and drive alignment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure issues, perform accurate analysis, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.  
  • Proficient in planning tools and systems, including SAP and Business Intelligence (BI) platforms.
  • Results-driven with a strong desire to challenge and improve the status quo.
  • Must be fluent in English.

Rewards and Benefits

The salary range for these skills is $105,000.00 - $115,000.00.  This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
