Job Purpose

 

The Regional Supply Chain Controller supports the Regional Integrated Supply Chain Controller in leading the ISC Control organization within the region. Acts as a business partner for the Regional Supply Chain team in the region and supports in development and executing the functional strategy. As a member of the regional ISC Finance Leadership team, co designs and operationalizes the new Regional ISC Finance organization in close alignment with global ISC controllers, and the other finance functional towers (Commercial Control, FP&A and Finance Operations - Global Business Services.  


The Regional Supply Chain Controller will champion and lead ISC Regional Finance Project Teams and projects.  
 

This position will be located at our AkzoNobel Regional Headquarters in Nashville, TN
 

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and manage an efficient, effective, accurate and timely financial reporting and planning cycle for the regional SC organizations, including both regional SC operations as well as the linkage of ISC to assigned relevant Buiness Units  
  • Supports and guides (cluster) manufacturing Controllers in the region to execute the regional ISC strategy and functional ISC Finance strategy
  • Expert at understanding the operations of the business and responsible for driving financial analysis and using its insights to contribute to the decision making by the business
  • Specialized in determining and implementing the manufacturing and distribution footprint across the region
  • Play a prominent role in Capex planning (AR) and investment decisions
  • Support the implementation of IBP as main planning process within ISC, and specially within Supply Chain as main owner of this process
  • Partners with the regional ISC Controller, (cluster) manufacturing Controllers and regional ISC leaders in the execution of the IBP implementation effort.
  • Collaborates with other areas of the Finance function to ensure reliable, timely and correct supply of information and the proper set-up and functioning of the ISC planning & control-processes, administrative organization, internal controls and information systems
     

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in economics, accounting, business administration or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in multiple finance positions in an industrial/manufacturing environment (this very much depends on the site and the profile of the candidate)
  • Drives changes and transformation agenda with passion, continuous improvement minded, hands-on with a can-do mentality
  • Independent, self-starting and interested in what is behind the numbers
  • Highly analytical, with problem-solving and pragmatic skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with site management and others on site
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English, both verbal as well as in writing
  • High proficiency in SAP and other business applications
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build strong collaborative teams in a matrix organization, without necessarily relying on hierarchy 
  • High level of customer orientation, strategic orientation, results orientation, change management, ownership and collaboration
  • Able to build (informal) networks within the organization and manage changes
