Job Purpose

The Regional Supply Chain Controller supports the Regional Integrated Supply Chain Controller in leading the ISC Control organization within the region. Acts as a business partner and supports in the development and execution of the functional strategy. 


As a member of the regional Integrated Supply Chain Finance Leadership team, this position will co-design and operationalize the organization in alignment with global controllers and additional finance functional towers (Commercial Control, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Finance Operations/Global Business Services). Will lead key Integrated Supply Chain finance projects and represent the region in project teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develops and manages an efficient, effective, accurate and timely financial reporting and planning cycle for the regional Supply Chain organizations, including both regional Supply Chain operations as well as the linkage of Integrated Supply Chain to assigned relevant business units
  • Supports and guides (cluster) Manufacturing Controllers in the region to execute the regional Integrated Supply Chain strategy and functional Integrated Supply Chain finance strategy
  • Understands the operations of the business with responsibility for driving financial analysis and using its insights to contribute to the decision making by the business
  • Determines and implements the manufacturing and distribution footprint across the region
  • Plays a prominent role in Capex planning (Acquisition Requests) and investment decisions
  • Supports the implementation of Integrated Business Planning as main planning process within Integrated Supply Chain and within the specific Supply Chain.  Serves as main owner of this process
  • Partners with the Regional Integrated Supply Chain Controller, (cluster) Manufacturing Controllers and Regional Integrated Supply Chain leaders in the execution of the Integrated Business Planning implementation effort
  • Collaborates with other areas of the Finance function to ensure reliable, timely and correct supply of information and the proper set-up and functioning of the Integrated Supply Chain planning and control-processes, administrative organization, internal controls and information systems

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.  Master of Science in related field preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience in multiple finance positions in an industrial/manufacturing environment.  Logistics experience to include the management and optimization of the storage process as well as the movement of materials preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build collaborative teams in a matrix organization 
  • High level of customer orientation, strategic orientation, results orientation, change management, ownership and collaboration
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving and pragmatic skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with site management and team members
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.  High proficiency in SAP and additional business applications
  • Must be fluent in English

Compensation Data

  • $120,000.00 - $153,000.00.  Eligible for annual bonus of 17.5%.

Position Location

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule which will include working onsite three (3) days a week and working remotely two (2) days a week.  Please note that the work schedule will be based on AkzoNobel's business needs.  Position will be based at AkzoNobel’s North America Corporate Headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee.
