POSITION LOCATION:    535 Marriott Drive, 5th Floor, Nashville, TN 37214 

SALARY:    $94,598-$130,000/yr. 

TRAVEL:    20% domestic travel required to visit and assist sites with Process Safety improvements and compliance. 

HOURS:    Full Time/40 hours 

  

JOB DUTIES: Part of HSE&S Regional Team and responsible to deploy Process Safety functional excellence. Deploy company's PSM (Process Safety Manager) common platform with respective region(s). Carry out PSM related capability building activities with site level contacts across region. Identify, coach, develop, manage site level PSM expert pool and help sites to deliver PSM objectives and ensure critical PSM processes are embedded. Coordinate regional PSM assurance activities. Co-design global PSM processes, tool and initiatives under supervision of Global Health, Safety, Security Director. Deploy PSM common platform programs and tools and support respective Regional HSE&S Managers. Support identification, risk-based prioritization, mitigation and management of process safety risks in respective region(s). Support sites in delivery of PSM targets and common platform objectives via regional PSM expert pool. Support and provide expertise to sites in the region regarding understanding and implementation of company and regulatory PSM requirement, Hazardous Area classification, PHA/hazard study, LOPA, SIS analysis, static electricity prevention practice, resin manufacturing, solvent/combustible powder safe handling, etc. Identify, coach and develop, manage expert pools in respective regions. Facilitate PSM capability building, i.e. faculty trainings, PSM related topic training in respective regions. Lead, or participate in, investigation of HSES incidents, corporate HSES audits, etc. Contribute to design of global PSM common platform programs, tools and templates, act as regional rep to provide valuable input. Identify, coach and manage regional PSM expert pool. 

       

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field of study and 10 years of progressive experience in the chemical process industry at a large manufacturing facility in a process safety, engineering, senior operations, or other technical role. 

 

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with:   
 
1) PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) and LOPA (Layer of Protection Analysis).  
2) validating quality of hazard studies and proposed solutions by sites.  
3) working with site and regional management on prioritization of capex budgets for process safety improvements and PSM related regulatory requirements.  
4) collaborating with stakeholders to define PSM strategy for a region by and in-line with global PSM strategy.  
5) working in plants with hazardous substance utilization and handling.  
6) principles of process safety management in line with legal requirements and recommended by industry practice.  
7) working on safety, health and environment (HSE) management systems.  
8) continuous improvement, root cause analysis and data analysis.  
9) working and guiding others within a matrix organization toward a desired goal or course of action,   
10) gaining agreement or acceptance of plans and activities by specialists and stakeholders.

The annual salary range for these skills is: $94,598-$130,000/yr. based upon experience. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
