Job Purpose

AkzoNobel Coatings Inc. has a great opportunity for a Regional Culture & Change Manager located at our Regional HQ location in Nashville, TN.

This position will ensure successful and sustainable implementation of the AkzoNobel transformation and change initiatives at regional level through effective change management interventions and a change network supporting the business, the functions and the work streams.

Key Accountabilities

Change management excellence:

  • Continuously improve the effective deployment of the central change management approach and materials
  • Ensure central change management approach and tools are known and easily accessible across the region
  • Guide and support change/project managers across the region in the use of the central change management approach and materials
  • Ensure high quality change management plans are created on both regional and country level
  • Ensure the alignment of the change activity is managed across the different businesses and functions in the region

 
Change management delivery:

  • Help shape and deliver the AkzoNobel people Transformation in the region
  • Train and coach change managers/project managers on regional level in the effective use of the change management approach and the materials for seamless delivery
  • Support change managers/project managers on regional level in developing their change plan(s)
  • Support change managers/project managers in the execution and seamless Delivery of their plans
     

Capability building:

  • Build a regional change agent network
  • Ensuring the central change management approach is deployed effectively through training, coaching, provision of tools and other support materials
  • Coach and support the local change managers to use the central change management approach and materials
  • Coach, train and support regional leadership to develop their change management capabilities 
  • Provide feedback to the central CoE  team on learnings to continuously improve and develop organizational capability


Transformation storyline:

  • Responsible for the delivery of AkzoNobel, Function and Business Transformation storylines for the region. 
  • Work closely with Regional HR Director, Local Transformation Leads and Regional Communications in supporting them with the overall "Change storyline” in the region
  • Support local change managers and local HR in creating their local change storyline, based on the Regional storyline
     

Representing Culture and Change CoE:

  • Ensuring Culture and Change CoE is recognized as a knowledge center, and as provider of excellent support across the region and with senior leadership

Qualifications

  • University or Master's degree plus at least 7 years work experience, in Change management, HR or other functions with tangible change management and transformational leadership experience and a proven track record of delivering large and complex projects on time and on budget
  • Highly polished and professional behaviors, comfortable presenting and influencing at senior level
  • Competent professional with the ability to provide strategic change management input and translate it into tactical and operational implementation plans for the region
  • Stakeholder and influencing skills
  • Can deal with ambiguity and complexity
  • Able to translate theory into practice and the other way around
  • Experience in multinational matrix organization
  • Excellent communicator, both in communication with specialists and with main stakeholders
  • Fluent in English
