Job Purpose

Develop an optimal short-term and long-term manufacturing plan ensure the fulfillment of market demands while considering facility capacity and constraints.  Must have a comprehensive understanding of existing and future capacity plan/constraints for the manufacturing plant and distribution center.  Will ensure effective communication and integration with additional planning teams, manufacturing, logistics, customer care and additional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the master production schedule (MPS) and material requirements planning (MRP) process, resolving exceptions in compliance with Integrated Business Planning guidelines.
  • Work with Distribution Requirements Planners, Sales and Customer Service to understand customer requirements incorporating information in production plan.
  • Maintain master production plan at a twelve (12) week, one (1) week, and daily release schedule for production facility while complying with capacity agreements.
  • Manage demand exceptions with the Scheduler and Supply Planning Manager.  Support the site with analysis as needed.
  • Balance service level and inventory targets at the distribution center(s) while understanding cost impact on production.
  • Manage reduction and prevention of slow and obsolete stock.  Ensure reward and scrapping of finished goods at the site and primary distribution center.
  • Support and/or lead projects and process improvement to enhance performance and efficiency of required planning activities.
  • Drive gate keeping meetings with other departments and support by providing relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance.
  • Ensure master data correctness and proper housekeeping of transactional data.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
  • 1 year experience in supply planning in a manufacturing environment.  Additional experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and structure issues, run accurate analysis, and recommend suggestions for resolution.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience using SAP or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software preferred.
  • Must be fluent in English.

Rewards and Benefits

The salary range for these skills is $68,000.00 - $73,00.00.  This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
