Key Responsibilities

  • Administer sourcing strategy for raw materials at the local level and interface with local suppliers and sites.
  • Support the sales team by obtaining samples, price quotes, and delivery time frames.
  • Facilitate and resolve pricing discrepancies and past-due invoices with the accounting team, create and maintain an up-to-date pricing list, and verify completeness and accuracy of pricing data and records.
  • Obtain and maintain technical and safety date for new raw materials.
  • Act as the interface with local stakeholders and escalation point for local supplier issues.
  • Facilitate the return-to-vendor process, credit requests, and technical meetings with supplier contacts.
  • Support local change management and continuous improvement projects to improve quality delivery, cost, innovation, and sustainability projects by collecting data and providing information for procurement and sourcing.
  • Facilitate local, plant-specific, and regional or global sourcing strategies.
  • Support value engineering savings projects and contribute to local material cost reduction initiatives by collecting historical data and preparing presentations.
  • Prepare monthly procurement presentations for aerospace business unit sourcing.      
     

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Economics, Accountancy, Business, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5 years' experience as Senior Internal Control Analysis, Senior Associate, Accountant, Product Related Buyer US, Buyer, Internal Controls Associate, Financial Planning and Analysis or related role.


Applicants must have 1 year of demonstrated experience with the following.  Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.

  • Experience in collecting spending (financial), materials, and supplier data, in extracting relevant information, and in presenting the finding to cross functional team (sales, R&D, quality production, suppliers) using analytic tools and ERP (PowerBI tools, Infor Syteline), supplier KPI (on time, in full), and variance and historical analysis of pricing.
  • Communicating and interacting with both internal and external stakeholders including category directors, site managers, supplier account representatives, and similar.
  • Spend analysis (including Make vs. Buy).
  • Experience in financial analysis related to cost of goods sold (raw materials) and impact on gross margin.
  • Understanding of cost analysis.
  • Experience in risk assessment including identifying high risky areas, coordinating mitigation plans with cross-functional team, and understanding financial impact of single sourced, discontinued, and alternative raw materials.
  • SAP.
  • Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
  • 5% domestic travel required.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 40% per week.
