Job Description
To drive the sales and development of the Protective Coatings (PC) business in Malaysia across key market sectors including Oil & Gas, High Value Infrastructure, Power, Mining, and Distribution. The role involves managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, ensuring delivery of sales targets, and coaching new sales team members.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the sales and business development efforts for Protective Coatings in East Malaysia.

Build, enhance, and maintain strong relationships with key customers in:

Oil & Gas Upstream (New Constructions and PFP Projects) with MMHE, Sapura Energy, KKB Engineering, and OceanMight.

Oil & Gas Upstream M&R Contracts with Dayang Engineering, Petra Resources, Fastart, Ropetech, HHA, and Carimin.

Oil & Gas Downstream M&R across East Malaysia, Johor, Melaka, and Negeri Sembilan.

Develop technical and commercial proposals to support business growth initiatives.

Achieve revenue and margin targets in line with Protective Coatings country sales objectives.

Provide accurate sales forecasts and collaborate closely with ISC, Logistics, and Sales teams for Malaysia stock planning and SLOBS (Slow and Obsolete Stocks) clearance.

Act as a mentor and coach for new recruits and existing Protective Coatings sales representatives, fostering their development and ensuring team capability growth.
Job Requirement

Diploma or Degree in a related field.
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in sales; experience in Protective Coatings or a related field is an added advantage.

Strong analytical skills to tackle technical issues.
-
Ability to interact well with key accounts, difficult customers, and internal departments.

Good command of spoken and written Bahasa Melayu, English, and other local dialects.

Willing and able to travel across Malaysia, sometimes on short notice.

Willing to work extra hours if necessary.

Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent follow-up and relationship management skills.

Team player mindset with good interpersonal skills.
