About the Role
We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our global company – AkzoNobel. The role will be reporting to the Logistics Manager and based in our Victoria manufacturing and office in Sunshine North.
Manage the transport and distribution of all finished goods from Sunshine Site direct to customers or to other warehouses. Manage the raw material movement in and out of the store in an efficient and accurate manner to meet schedules relied upon by interfacing departments and to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Development – Develop individual team members and build a team which is collectively capable and fully engaged in delivering on the company targets.
- Inventory Accuracy – Manage the safe, proper and timely storage of all raw materials and finished goods in accordance with the relevant quality standards and company guidelines, and investigate stock discrepancies, so that accurate levels of stock are maintained and always recorded.
- Pre-batching – Co-ordinate the pre batching of all requested raw materials for the Paint & Powder plants daily to ensure that production delays caused by material shortages are minimized.
- Support – contribute to the formulation of site objectives from a logistics perspective and ensure site capabilities, constraints and HSE considerations are incorporated into the site plan.
- Communicate strategy - Ensure the business strategy is cascaded to the team effectively to ensure appropriate alignment of focus and relevant information.

What we need
Ideally, you would have the following as it will provide a high chance of success for you and us
- Tertiary qualified or higher
- 3-5 years’ experience in warehouse and distribution
- Have strong communication skills and good problem-solving skills, be a strong team player with good interpersonal skills and able to work cross functionally;
- Have strong levels of resilience, able to work under pressure with little supervision, drive for results and quality oriented.
- Drive for sustainability, quality and safety in all facets of the business.
