Are you passionate about ensuring the highest quality standards in manufacturing? We're looking for a Quality Technician to join our team in Sunshine, Melbourne. This is your chance to be part of a global leader in paints and coatings, where you can make a significant impact on our production processes and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify quality attributes of production batches in a timely manner, adhering to the quality policy, customer requirements, and OH&S plan. 
  • Assess and coordinate adjustments to production batches to meet product specifications.
  • Investigate and recommend actions for any quality concerns related to production batches. 
  • Coordinate the introduction of first production batches, involving technical, quality, and manufacturing departments. 
  • Analyse quality data to implement continuous improvement plans for productivity and resource utilisation. 
  • Maintain and update the laboratory quality control system to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers about the status of production batches. 
  • Execute the equipment calibration schedule and perform autonomous maintenance. 
  • Handle quality requests such as shelf-life extensions, retain sample tests, and certificates of analysis. 
  • Manage laboratory colour standards according to procedures.

What you need to have:

  • Degree in Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and precision in testing and reporting.
  • Ability to investigate quality issues and recommend effective solutions. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with customers and internal teams.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical, quality, and manufacturing departments.
  • Commitment to analysing data and implementing improvements.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
