About the Graduate Technologist Role

At Akzo Nobel manufacturing site in Sunshine North, we are looking to support and grow a graduate technologist in designing, testing, developing, planning, applying, and reporting on our locally manufactured products of marine and protective coating.

The role will see you:

  • Understand paint and coating composition
  • Gain a basic understanding of formulations and the changes it will have on the properties of paint
  • Plan and communicate on priorities and delivery timelines
  • Collate data and understand potential issues to discuss root causes
  • Recognise different markets technologies, products and services to understand market needs
  • Support the manufacturing factory with related first-batch control testing and technical advice
  • Manual handling up to 25kg samples

What you will bring

This is a Graduate role; therefore, we expect a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, pharmaceutical and if you have any experience gained in these fields would be really beneficial. If not, a great working attitude and willingness to learn!
