About the role

We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join our global company – AkzoNobel. The role will be reporting to the Engineering Manager and based in our Victoria manufacturing and office in Sunshine North. 

The Facilities Coordinator role is responsible for performing all engineering administrative and store keeping tasks to support the Engineering team to focus on key Safety, Reliability and Cost Reduction activities. The role is also responsible for maintaining compliance in an effective and efficient manner.

This position plays a key role with administering and maintaining the documentation system and tools required to ensure relevant and accurate documentation is in place and that the document control system is effective, current and accessible by all relevant stakeholders.

  • Organise timely servicing of non-technical service providers
  • Produce weekly and monthly plan adherence reports capturing all works completed by in house trades and external service providers.
  • Raising purchasing orders for spare parts and all purchase requisitions for the engineering and maintenance team.
  • Review of min and max quantities to ensure right level of spares is kept on site. Update SAP as required to ensure accurate information.
  • Goods receipt all invoices associated with maintenance and capex.

What we need

What we will need from you

Ideally, you would have the following as it will provide a high chance of success for you and us

  • Tertiary education or higher
  • Previous experience with document control systems.
  • Strong computer skills in the Microsoft suite and CMMS (SAP preferred)
  • Strong communication skills with good problem-solving skills, be a strong team player and able to work cross functionally;
  • Have strong levels of resilience and willingness to learn and absorb information.
  • Good planning skills to organize and prioritise to meet deadlines consistently.
