What will you do?

As Reliability Manager, you will be responsible for strengthening equipment reliability and asset availability through structured, proactive maintenance and reliability strategies. The role focuses on minimizing unplanned downtime, extending asset life cycles, and ensuring safe, stable operations. By applying reliability engineering principles, data-driven analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies, you will drive measurable improvements in equipment performance and operational efficiency.

 

You will work with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of reliability priorities and improvement initiatives within approved frameworks. 

 


Key Responsibilities

•    Develop, implement, and continuously refine reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies for critical assets
•    Define asset life-cycle strategies to optimize performance, reliability, and total cost of ownership
•    Establish equipment criticality, reliability standards, and performance targets
•    Design and improve preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs
•    Lead root cause failure analyses and define corrective and preventive actions
•    Monitor and analyze reliability KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, OEE, and equipment availability
•    Prepare and present reliability analyses, priorities, and recommendations to management
•    Provide reliability expertise during new equipment installations, commissioning, and design reviews
•    Ensure reliability and maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
•    Promote reliability best practices and contribute to a continuous improvement culture

 


This is a permanent position with a start date as soon as possible. You will be based at our site located just outside Malmö, Sweden, and will report directly to the Site Responsible Engineer.

 

 

 

Who are you?

We are seeking an experienced and analytical reliability professional with a strong technical foundation and a proactive mindset. You are comfortable taking ownership of reliability priorities and making data-driven decisions within established guidelines. With a structured approach and strong communication skills, you collaborate effectively across functions and contribute to a culture where safety, reliability, and continuous improvement are integral to daily work.

 


Key Requirements

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Industrial Engineering
•    10–15 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or asset management within an industrial environment
•    Proven experience in implementing reliability-centered maintenance and improvement initiatives
•    Strong competence in failure analysis and proactive maintenance methodologies
•    In-depth knowledge of rotating and static equipment reliability
•    Experience working with CMMS systems and reliability data analysis
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
•    Ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams
•    Proficiency in Swedish or English, both spoken and written

 


Qualifications Considered an Advantage

 

•    Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
•    Reliability-related certifications such as RCM, CMRP, or CRL
