What will you do?

As Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of plant equipment through structured and efficient maintenance management. The role focuses on delivering stable day-to-day operations by planning and executing maintenance activities that minimize downtime, protect assets, and support production targets.

 

You will lead the maintenance organization with a strong focus on safety, discipline, and performance. Working closely with production, reliability, engineering, and HSE, you ensure that maintenance activities are well coordinated, compliant with standards, and continuously improved. 

 


Key Responsibilities

 

•    Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities
•    Ensure timely repairs and maintenance execution to minimize downtime and production losses
•    Coordinate daily maintenance activities with production and operations teams
•    Lead, supervise, and develop maintenance technicians and supervisors
•    Allocate manpower, shifts, and resources to ensure effective coverage and execution
•    Conduct performance reviews and identify training and competence development needs
•    Ensure availability and reliable operation of plant equipment and utilities
•    Maintain maintenance history, documentation, and records in SAP
•    Support equipment installation, modification, and commissioning activities
•    Control maintenance costs and manage maintenance budgets
•    Optimize spare parts usage and ensure availability of critical spares
•    Ensure compliance with HSE policies, legal requirements, and company standards
•    Enforce safe work practices, permits, and lockout/tagout procedures

 


This is a permanent position with a start date as soon as possible. You will be based at our site located just outside Malmö, Sweden, and will report directly to the Site Responsible Engineer.

 

 

 

Who are you?

We are looking for a hands-on and structured maintenance leader with strong technical competence and a clear focus on safety and operational excellence. You are confident in prioritizing maintenance activities, allocating resources, and making practical decisions to keep operations running smoothly. With strong leadership skills and a collaborative mindset, you create clarity in daily work, engage your team, and work closely with other functions to achieve stable and efficient plant performance.

 


Key Requirements

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering (Automation or Mechanical preferred)
•    10–15 years of experience in maintenance operations within an industrial or manufacturing environment
•    Proven experience in leading maintenance teams and managing daily maintenance activities
•    Hands-on experience with preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance
•    Strong knowledge of plant equipment, utilities, and maintenance best practices
•    Ability to plan maintenance work, analyze breakdowns, and control maintenance costs
•    Strong people-management and team-leadership skills
•    Good communication and coordination skills across operations, engineering, and HSE
•    High focus on safety, discipline, and operational excellence
•    Proficiency in Swedish or English, both spoken and written

 

 

Qualifications Considered an Advantage

 

•    Practical experience with CMMS systems such as SAP PM or similar
•    Additional technical certifications or maintenance management training
