About the role

As an Indirect Procurement Buyer for the Nordic market, you will play a key role in driving the indirect procurement process—ensuring competitive pricing, service and quality while complying with AkzoNobel’s global procurement policies.

In this role, you'll focus on indirect procurement for Manufacturing—supporting our production sites with sourcing related to CAPEX projects, technical services, equipment, spare parts and facility management.

You will be part of a collaborative EMEA team and work closely with category managers and local stakeholders such as site managers and engineering teams. The position combines both strategic and operational elements, including cross-functional collaboration, ownership of sourcing projects and supporting production through well-managed supplier relationships.

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

• Execute sourcing, contracting and negotiations for Indirect goods and services, with focus on manufacturing-related categories

• Support regional and global procurement targets including savings, supplier consolidation, and contract efficiency

• Ensure contracts are created, executed and maintained in line with company policies and compliance requirements

• Maintain accurate data such as vendor info, catalogues and purchase order details

• Conduct spend analysis to identify savings opportunities and risk areas

• Collaborate with stakeholders across sites to understand business needs and advise on procurement strategies

• Coordinate with regional and global Category Managers to implement category strategies

• Participate in regular team meetings to align on sourcing projects

• Coach & train users on the tools, policies and  procedures covering the NPR purchase process

 

 

This is a permanent position with a start date as soon as possible. You will be based at our site located just outside Malmö, Sweden and will report directly to the Indirect Procurement Manager, EMEA. We offer a hybrid working model, giving you flexibility to combine remote work with on-site collaboration.

Requirements:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent experience

•  Proven background in procurement, preferably within manufacturing, chemicals, or automotive industries

•  Experience in sourcing, contracting, and negotiating with suppliers

•  Comfortable working in a large, international matrix organization

•  Strong analytical skills and a structured way of working

•  Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

•  Fluent in both Swedish and English

 

 

What Makes You Stand Out:

•  Experience with CAPEX, technical procurement or Facility Management categories

•  Familiarity with procurement tools such as SAP, Coupa or Power BI

•  Procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS)

•  Experience from participating in global procurement projects
