Job Purpose

 

To ensure customer orders are released,   goods are destocked, and invoice are generated on time to accompany all goods for dispatch. To ensure that calling customers are serviced as well as staff sales.
•    Release  orders. Generate Transfer notes to different locations.
•    Destock and invoice all deliveries for dispatch. Receipting stock into the system-ACCPAC
•    Process calling orders. Manage Sales orders and process accordingly
•    Carry out administrative duties.
•    Support Safety, Health &environment initiatives

Key Accountabilities

 

Warehouse & Operational Duties

  • Accurately capture all orders, returns, and receipts in the system within set timeframes.
  • Conduct quality checks on all inbound and outbound stock; ensure documents match physical items.
  • Expedite urgent stock to bins and ensure correct binning of daily receipts.
  • Inspect and report damaged or non-conforming cargo immediately to the line manager.
  • Address discrepancies, theft, and stock issues; quarantine and escalate damaged or expired stock.
  • Maintain clear, accurate operational records, including signatures and dates.
  • Ensure hazardous materials are handled and stored according to MSDS and warehouse protocols.
  • Keep stock well-packed, clearly labeled, and organized in designated bin locations.
  • Keep work areas clean and clutter-free, maintaining 5S housekeeping standards.
  • Assist other departments during downtime to support overall warehouse operations.
  • Support cycle and monthly stock counts in line with SLA/KPI targets.
  • Resolve internal and client stock queries efficiently and professionally.

 

General Operational & Safety Responsibilities

  • Report all defects, damages, theft, near misses, and incidents to the logistics manager without delay.
  • Actively participate in SHERQ programs and adhere to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Follow company SOPs and policies; raise any non-conformances to management.
  • Complete all assigned daily tasks and maintain proper documentation and filing.
  • Perform reasonable ad hoc duties as instructed by supervisors.
  • Attend and contribute to daily staff briefings (Blue Area Talks).
  • Promote a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment in line with OHS regulations.

Experience

 

  • Minimum Grade 12; Diploma in Logistics or related field preferred.
  • Valid license to operate Pallet Jack, Reach Truck, and/or Forklift.
  • Minimum 2–3 years experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or technical customer service.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Navision or similar ERP systems and MS Office.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and HSE experience.
